Chatsworth House looks magnificent, its classical design built in yellow stone facing across a Capability Brown park through which the River Derwent flows. There are over 30 rooms open to visitors including some in spectacular baroque style with the impressive furniture, art and sculpture you would expect from such a stately home. The gardens are one of the great features of Chatsworth, 105 acres in which one can stroll. There are curious sculptures, a Victorian rock garden, a maze and impressive water features like the ‘Emperor’ fountain and the cascade.
